The State Coach Designed & Drafted by Leslie Mallett - 1976
The State Coach was woven to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The weaving is of a restricted edition of 5000. ~ The anniversary date itself was commemorated in church services across the land on 6 February 1977, and continued throughout the month. ~ Woven in Pure Silk. Pure silk is a delicate natural fibre and is subject to fading, it should not, therefore, be exposed to extremes of sunlight or humidity. |
Queen Mother - 2000 Designed as it was to be Woven. Artwork to right done in Adobe illustrator as a test by me for me. ~ Portraits using modern looms and cheaper polyester yarns, a Nightmare. To be blunt I was disappointed in the Weaving. ~ To view at maximum size, first click image, then on large image right click, view image (FireFox). |
